August 2018 (Venue – Centre 42, Singapore)
Home is considered a secure haven, but sometimes its security and trust are breached by those who are meant to protect! Darkness dwells in the form of Shame, Guilt, Trauma, Inner turmoil and Helplessness when we are violated by the ones we love and trust.
Support the violated. Unleash their voices to break the cycle of pain!
Flowers Don’t Bloom all the time explored the stories of survivors of violence against women and children perpetuated in their own homes!
Set through a journey of dance theatre and music, artistic director, Kavitha Krishnan, and Maya Dance Theatre, exposed the unflinching stigma and complexities brought upon by the survivors who live in constant trauma and fear.
A talented and perceptive team of artists delve into the unspoken realities of this dark abyss often left unexplored and unresolved.
