Singapore contemporary dance theatre company, Maya Dance Theatre, led by Kavitha Krishnan, will be embarking on a collaboration with Hong Kong Dance Company on 30th July 2022 at National Museum (Singapore) Theatre.
Presented as part of a series of events in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, πΎπ€π£π«ππ§πππ£ππ: πΌ πΏπππ‘π€ππͺπ ππ£ πΏππ£ππ πππ©π¬πππ£ ππ€π£π ππ€π£π ππ£π πππ£πππ₯π€π§π is a unique collaboration between the Hong Kong Dance Company ι¦ζΈ―θθΉε (HKDC) and Singapore’s MAYA DANCE THEATRE (MDT) that transcends epidemic-related travel restrictions.
πΎπ€π£π«ππ§πππ£ππ: πΌ πΏπππ‘π€ππͺπ ππ£ πΏππ£ππ πππ©π¬πππ£ ππ€π£π ππ€π£π ππ£π πππ£πππ₯π€π§π features a short collaborative film, a virtual dialogue session, as well as a performance by MDT, which re-interprets and incorporates parts of the Convergence film from Hong Kong. Experience a unique blend of martial arts, Chinese dance, Bharatha Natyam and contemporary dance inspired by Asian and Southeast Asian dance traditions, where boundaries between cultures, peoples, and forms fuse into one.
